Hand-embroidered and scalloped women's nightgown, size S/M-M/L (1850-1900)
A romantic nightgown dating (most likely) from the second half of the 19th century.
Made from lightweight and soft cotton poplin, this lovely chemise is hand-embroidered and delicately scalloped along the collar and armholes. It is also embroidered with the initials AF. Perfect to wear on warm summer days, it can also easily be styled into a modern wardrobe with the right accessories!
This piece is in excellent condition, with no visible marks. A small, barely noticeable stitch repair has been made on the upper right side to mend a hole.
It will fit modern sizes S/M and M/L (flat bust width: 60 cm. Total length: 103 cm).
Carefully sourced by Olivia and Vivien, this piece is unique and very old. As such, it may show signs of wear, stains, or other minor imperfections that may have escaped the keen eyes of our two designers. Please appreciate this garment as it is, bearing the charming marks of its rich past!
