Men’s shirt with asymmetrical neckline, hand-embroidered with blue thread, Size L/XL (1850-1900)
A stunning men’s shirt dating (most likely) from the second half of the 19th century.
Made from fine cotton poplin, this piece is hand-embroidered with blue thread along the button placket and collar, whose asymmetry gives it a truly distinctive character. It is also embroidered with the initials LV.
This piece is in excellent condition, with only slight yellowing on the inside of the collar.
It will fit a modern size L/XL (flat bust width: 72 cm. Total length: 127 cm. Sleeve length: 62 cm).
Carefully sourced by Olivia and Vivien, this piece is unique and very old. As such, it may show signs of wear, stains, or other minor imperfections that may have escaped the keen eyes of our two designers. Please appreciate this garment as it is, bearing the charming marks of its rich past!
