Rare men’s shirt with Fleur-de-Lis embroidery, size L/XL (1800-1850)
An exceptionally rare men’s shirt, likely dating from the first half of the 19th century.
Made from fine cotton poplin, this remarkable shirt features delicate machine-embroidered fleur-de-lis motifs adorning the collar, button placket, and chest pocket. It is also embroidered with the initials LV.
This piece is in very good condition, with only a tear at the lower left side that can be easily repaired.
It will fit a modern size L/XL (flat bust width: 65 cm. Total length: 116 cm. Sleeve length: 62 cm).
Carefully sourced by Olivia and Vivien, this piece is unique and very old. As such, it may show signs of wear, stains, or other minor imperfections that may have escaped the keen eyes of our two designers. Please appreciate this garment as it is, bearing the charming marks of its rich past!
